Muscle test could provide you with important information about possible vitamin or mineral imbalance.
You could be tested for Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, H, C, D, E, K1, K2, K3, Folic acid and also Calcium, Magnesium, Lead, Chromium, Manganese, Zink, Iron, Potassium. If you want to use fat soluble vitamins – D3, K2, E, A – you need the confirmation from your GP, as you need to know the exact dose. Fat soluble vitamins in wrong doses could be toxic. Its because they accumulate in the bodies tissues. Water soluble vitamins are not accumulated, they are excreted from the body and there in no risk of toxicity. If you want to add some extra minerals or vitamins to your diet you need to check the deficiency with your GP. There are plenty of different companies that can supply you with vitamins and minerals but YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW HOW MUCH SUPPLEMENT TO USE. For example too much iron could cause constipation and other digestive problems. Another example vitamin B6. Too much of it can cause nerve toxicity, although it usually doesn’t do that in doses lower than 200mg per day. If taken for long time higher doses of B6 can cause numbness and tingling, also could make you oversensitive to sunlight and skin rashes. We all are different and we need vitamins and minerals in different amount, for somebody 200mg can be not enough and for somebody too much it depends upon your weight, weather, how much water you drink and was the food you were eating on that particular day had a lot of B6 or not. That’s why the blood test is so important.
